Currently a PhD student in Education at Simon Fraser University, Canada, focusing on Health Care Education in Massage Therapy schools. She earned her Master of Education from SFU in the Health Education and Active Living program, where her research examined trust between Registered Massage Therapists and their patients.

With over three decades of clinical practice and more than 20 years of teaching experience in RMT colleges, her scholarship and professional work are dedicated to advancing educational practices and strengthening patient–practitioner relationships in massage therapy.

Currently Chair of the Massage Therapy Diploma Program at Camosun College. Emah has a Bachelor of Health Science through Thompson Rivers University and is completing the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program through VCC. She has been an educator in Massage Therapy for 22 years and has developed and led two Massage Therapy Programs in Manitoba and BC.

Currently serving as a Program Coordinator at Langara College, where he supports the Registered Massage Therapy program and Continuing Studies Business Development. 

Joey previously served as President of the RMTBC and throughout his career, Joey has held a variety of roles focused on program development, stakeholder engagement, and organizational leadership. He is known for his collaborative approach, dedication to excellence, and passion for building strong, future-focused learning environments.
