Langara College is preparing to begin collective bargaining with its employee groups as part of the coordinated process taking place across British Columbia’s public post-secondary sector.

The College’s first bargaining sessions are scheduled with the Langara Faculty Association (LFA) beginning October 21, 2025. Discussions with other employee groups, including the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU), will follow in the coming weeks and months as dates are confirmed.

Bargaining at Langara is guided by the provincial framework established by the Post-Secondary Employers’ Association (PSEA) on behalf of the Public Sector Employers’ Council Secretariat (PSEC Secretariat). This coordinated approach helps ensure agreements across the sector are consistent, affordable, and sustainable while allowing each institution to address its local needs and priorities.

Langara approaches bargaining with a focus on collaboration, transparency, and care. The College’s goal is to reach agreements that are fair, sustainable, and aligned with its mission and values.

Updates on progress and upcoming sessions will be posted regularly on this site.
