Simi Sara has worked in television for almost twenty years reporting, writing, producing and anchoring various broadcasts throughout the province. Her career started at The Surrey Leader as a print reporter but Simi moved to broadcasting after she was offered an internship in 1993 at Citytv. By 2005 she was co-anchoring Breakfast Television and the host of CityCooks.
Simi left Citytv in 2008 and in spring 2009, TALK 1410 (CFUN’s talk radio venture) offered her a morning talk show, The Simi Sara Show, which aired daily from 6:00 to 10:00 am. After filling in as a guest host for CKNW, Simi succeeded Christy Clark in 2011 as the station’s afternoon radio talk show host. The Simi Sara Show now airs weekdays 12:30 - 3:00 pm.
The two-time B.C. Association of Broadcasters award winner was also a panelist on the 2010 edition of CBC’s Radio’s Canada Reads.
