Why did you choose Langara to study?
I chose Langara for my education mainly because my partner studied here before me and had such a wonderful experience in his time studying. He had many great things to say about his classmates and instructors, so it was a no-brainer to start my education journey here!
How did your time at the College contribute to your career?
While studying at Langara, I felt a sincere sense of community and was encouraged to participate in more than just my academics. I made great friends and felt really supported by my peers and instructors. I recall the day I came to pick up my parchment, I drove off the parking lot feeling such sadness that my “journey” at Langara had come to its end. That’s when I decided that no matter what, I wanted to work at Langara and continue to build and support the community that led me to my academic goals.
What’s your favourite memory of Langara?
My favourite memory of Langara – so far – was working at our 2019 Convocation. They were long days, with many ceremonies and lots of moving parts, there was so much joy that came from our graduates and staff supporting the event. It was truly one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.
What is a fun fact that you would like to share with us?
I am an avid horseback rider (Hunter - English) and when I am not on-campus with the community I adore, you will find me at the barn with the horse I lease – Gypsy.
