Collective Bargaining at Langara College-Union Bargaining Update – July 2026

Langara College has continued collective bargaining discussions with several employee groups over the past month. The College appreciates the time, preparation, and professionalism being brought to bargaining by all participants as this work continues.
Langara Faculty Association (LFA)
The College and the Langara Faculty Association continued bargaining discussions in June.
The parties met on June 3, 22, 29, and 30.
The College has provided additional proposed dates to the LFA and is working with the employee group to confirm upcoming bargaining sessions.
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)
The College and CUPE continue to meet as bargaining progresses.
The parties are scheduled to return to the bargaining table from July 27 to 31.
British Columbia Nurses’ Union (BCNU)
Langara College and the British Columbia Nurses’ Union began collective bargaining on June 2.
The parties agreed to a protocol agreement and exchanged proposals. Bargaining continued on June 3 and June 9, and several items have been agreed to.
The parties are working to schedule another bargaining date in mid-July.
