Collective Bargaining at Langara College-Union Bargaining Update – February 2026
Feb. 11, 2026
Langara College continued collective bargaining discussions with its employee groups throughout January and early February. These monthly updates are shared to help keep our community informed and to support transparency as this important work continues.
Langara Faculty Association (LFA)
The College and the LFA met on January 22, 23, and February 4, continuing productive discussions at the bargaining table.
Conversations remain ongoing, with both parties working through key issues in a focused and constructive manner.
In addition to formal bargaining sessions, two joint committees with representatives from both sides have continued meeting outside the bargaining table. These committees are collaborating effectively and making meaningful progress on specific proposals.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for March 4, with additional dates confirmed throughout March to support continued momentum.
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)
The College and CUPE met on February 3 and 6 and have exchanged bargaining packages.
Discussions are continuing as both parties review and work through the proposals that have been tabled. The parties are also meeting again on February 12 to continue these discussions.
The College appreciates the time, preparation, and professionalism being brought to bargaining by all participants. Further updates will be shared as discussions continue.
