Our Mission
The Arc Project is dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of Residential School Survivors, Through video testimonies, written accounts, and personal timelines, we honor the voices of Elders who experienced the residential school system,
Our goal is to create a respectful digital archive that serves as both a historical record and an educational resource, ensuring that these important stories are never forgotten and continue to educate future generations about this significant part of history.

Our Process
1. Community Engagement
We work directly with Indigenous communities to identify willing participants and ensure cultural protocols are respected throughout the documentation process.
2. Story Collection
Elders share their stories in their own words, at their own pace. We provide support and resources while ensuring they maintain complete control over their narratives.
3. Respectful Preservation
Stories are carefully documented, reviewed, and archived with the highest standards of respect and cultural sensitivity.
4. Sharing & Education
With permission, stories are shared through this platform to educate and create understanding about residential school experiences.
