Every Langara College full-time student is automatically a member of the Langara Students’ Union (LSU) and pays membership dues each semester. Each semester student elections are held for the LSU Executive Committee. A number of other committees are also open to students.
The LSU office houses:
- Resource rooms for studying and group / committee meetings
- Report binding, lamination, photocopying, and faxing services
- LSU Health & Dental Plan
- Mental health resources
- Tax services (mid-March to end of April)
- Bicycle repair shop
- Langara Cafe
- The Union Cafe
- Langara Students' Union Office
- Office of the Ombudsperson
- U-Pass BC Compass
- Book buy back
- Jumper cables
- Kitchenette including microwaves and hot water dispenser
- Lockers
- Student lounge space
