Vancouver, B.C. – snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College’s varsity sports program – the Langara Falcons – has been named amongst the top ten all-time athletic programs in the 50-year history of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
The CCAA’s Sport Supremacy award celebrates the cumulative achievements of its 99 member institutions in each CCAA sport and in totality from 1974 through 2024.
The Falcons received an overall placement of 7th based on the following sport rankings, bolstered by 25 national championships and 106 All-Canadians:
- 3rd in Men’s Basketball
- 3 CCAA National Championships (1998, 1999, 2014)
- 12 CCAA National Medals (3 gold, 7 silver, 2 bronze)
- 20 CCAA tournament appearances
- 24 CCAA All-Canadian selections
- 4th in Women’s Soccer
- 4 CCAA National Championships (1991, 2005, 2006, 2008)
- 6 CCAA National Medals (4 gold, 2 silver)
- 8 CCAA tournament appearances
- 18 CCAA All-Canadian selections
- 5th in Badminton
- 8th in Women’s Basketball
- 1 CCAA National Championship (1983)
- 5 CCAA National Medals (1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze)
- 13 CCAA tournament appearances
- 12 CCAA All-Canadian selections
- 9th in Men’s Soccer
- 4 CCAA National Championships (1992, 1993, 1999, 2000)
- 7 CCAA (4 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze)
- 11 CCAA tournament appearances
- 17 CCAA All-Canadian selections

The award was launched by the CCAA as part of the association’s 25th anniversary in 1999. 2024 marks only the second time the award has been given.
