Nneka Mimi Brown Osundu took a leap of faith when she left her home in Nigeria to study at Langara College. But with the help of Langara’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team, the Business Administration student found community, self-confidence, and a place for her voice to be heard.
Food services company Chartwells donated $125,000 to Langara College in November to fund EDI student services and launch a new mentorship program in the Nutrition and Food Services Management Program. The donation ensures Langara will continue to create exceptional student experiences through peer tutoring, EDI programming, and mentorship initiatives.
For Chartwells and Langara College, this contribution isn’t just about dollars. It’s about investing in the future and ensuring students, like Nneka, thrive in their studies and find a sense of community even when they are far away from home.
