Tech Thursday: Career Prep & Mock Interview (on campus)
Thursday, November 9 | 5:00 pm–7:00 pm | Registration required
This session is designed for students to understand the Tech hiring process and practice interviewing. This is a great opportunity to practice your interview skills both on the technical and face-to-face portions of the interview process.
- The pre-requisite for the technical interview is completion of CPSC 2150 or equivalent.
- Each slot will be approximately 45 minutes, including a technical interview with Computer Science instructors, lab aides, and graduates, and a face-to-face interview with instructors from the Co-op and Career Development Centre. Feedback will be provided throughout the process.
- Students must bring a printed copy of their resume.

- This session is designed for students to understand the Tech hiring process and practice interviewing. There will be an overview of the hiring process followed by time spent on mock interview questions, and whiteboard (and computer) problem-solving for software development and UX/UI.
- This is a great opportunity to practice your interview skills, and have feedback on your mock interview and problem-solving skills. This event requires students to have a current resume, and be prepared to engage in the face-to-face mock interviewing practice. Your interviewers will be Langara instructors.
- All participating students must sign up for a Mock Interview Time Slot. Each time slot is approximately 45-60 minutes. Limited spots are available for each time slot.
