A sport program is a planned and progressive sequencing of activities. The nature, number, frequency, duration, and content of theses activities is adapted to athletes age and sport experience. The goal of the program is to foster athletes athletic development and sport form over time. The main components of a sport program will be considered in detail. Register for all three courses at the same time in the NCCP Introduction to Competition Series A and receive a 5% discount. Note: courses must be taken in the same term, but not necessarily the same weekend.

This module outlines a process that will enable coaches to make thoughtful and responsible decisions in situations presenting ethical or moral dilemmas. The process has six steps, and each of these steps is covered.Register for all three courses at the same time in the NCCP Introduction to Competition Series A and receive a 5% discount. This module looks at the relationship between a good diet with sufficient intake of fluids and the ability of athletes to train and perform well in competition. Consideration of how nutrition plays an important role in recovery is also covered. Strategies are also provided in how to assist parents of athletes in the selection and preparation of food for optimal performance. Register for all three courses at the same time in the NCCP Introduction to Competition Series A and receive a 5% discount. This module considers the important concepts in the teaching and learning of sport skills. Although it is not realistic to expect anyone to improve his or her teaching abilities significantly in six hours of training, one of our goals is to provide coaches with some concrete means to continue developing their teaching skills on their own. Mental preparation is about training the mind to work with the body in sports situations and training it not to work against the body, by developing the mental training skills of an athlete. Coaches can assist athletes in achieving their ideal performance state at key competitions.
