Learn more about the human body and its various systems. These Anatomy & Physiology courses are designed for individuals needing a prerequisite for many Langara College Continuing Studies certificate programs, as a preview to further studies in this area, or as review of A&P for career purposes. These courses provide an overview of the structure and function of the body systems. Various health promotion strategies that work toward optimal function of these systems are discussed. If seeking this course as a transfer credit or prerequisite to another institution, please check with the accepting institution to determine transfer and/or prerequisite eligibility.

  1. (Basic Outline) Basic A&P for Bodyworkers no prerequisite required. Classes are scheduled online as live sessions with the instructor Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm. Students must be present as the class is not recorded. View on courses page
  2. (Advanced Outline) Advanced A&P for Bodyworkers may be taken concurrently with, or after Basic A&P. This course will be hosted as a hybrid, with 10 of the 14 sessions hosted as scheduled online live sessions, with the remaining 4 sessions to be hosted on campus (unless otherwise notified). If you are not local, you may attend these sessions live online. View on courses page. Please visit the website in March for Summer 2024 dates.

Anatomy Colouring Book (fee approximately $35), available at the Langara Bookstore. There are no other additional fees for these courses.

  1. Pathology Introduction for Bodywork will be hosted online until further notice. Classes are scheduled online as live sessions with the instructor and students must be present as the class is not recorded.
