Langara may impose any of the following sanctions for conduct violations. The sanction will depend upon the nature and seriousness of the offense, and whether the student has engaged in previous misconduct. Sanctioning decisions (short of suspension) are made by the Director, Student Conduct and Judicial Affairs.

Suspension and expulsion decisions are made by the President. Suspension standings will be noted on the student's transcript.

Below are examples of various sanctions that may be imposed on a student who is found responsible for a breach of the Student Code of Conduct.

  • Mediation/Alternate Dispute Resolution

  • Warning (Verbal or Written) 
  • Letter of Reprimand 
  • Monetary Restitution

  • Suspension 
  • Workshop/Training Attendance 
  • Educational Projects or Assignments
