Beyond Creative:

We wanted a place where like minded people could join together and have fun expressing themselves using the english language (in puns, poetry, nonfiction writing etc) without the fear of judgement or exclusion. Join our club for a fun time socializing and meeting new people; Non english majors and english majors are welcome (don't worry if you "suck" at english). We all support each other.

Finger Painting Club:

Our objective is to promote creativity and encourage students to express themselves artistically. The club provides a space for anyone who is interested in finger painting to come together to learn and share, to socialize and make friends, to have fun and de-stress.

The Langara Digital Club is a social media academy founded to fill club member’s portfolios with relevant industry experience from mastering major social media channels, learning how to create engaging content to grasping graphic design & DSLR photography basics.

Langara Student Choir:

Our goal in the Langara Student Choir is to provide students with a space to practice, perform, and get to know others on campus. We will provide performance opportunities in collaboration with other clubs, local events, and seniors homes in the Vancouver area.

Colouring Before Exams:

Colouring before Exams Club was created for students who feel stressed or overwhelmed before exams. Members of this club arrange events where students can colour to relieve stress and meet new people.

Langara Accounting Club:

To support our members in pursuing an accounting career by helping them become well-rounded people. The Langara Accounting Club accomplishes this by: providing fellowship opportunities for Langara students interested in accounting, providing information about and maintaining close ties with the Canadian accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant, CPA), advising members interested in pursuing a career in accounting, creating opportunities to connect with potential employers, encouraging community volunteering and personal development beyond accounting.

Langara Archaeology Student Association:

The Langara Archaeology Student Association is the best place for like-minded students who need help preparing for exams and understanding their coursework. We keep up to date with the latest archaeological and forensic anthropological methods and discoveries, ensuring easy access for students with an interest in this field. We have team members with field experience who are more than happy to explain what it is like digging for artifacts or going on site surveys.

Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC):

ARNBC Ignite is a student representative program in which student reps are regularly updated on the association’s events, policy and advocacy work, and support their student colleagues in accessing and understanding the resources available to them.

BCCNP:

BCCNP (formerly CRNBC) Langara Student Group is a student group comprised of nursing students from Terms 1 through 9. During our monthly meetings, we discuss case studies relevant to student nurse practice using real life examples and apply them to the BCCNP standards. We also hold workshops and events that are hosted by the student group members.

A club full of ambitious minds that are willing to change the world for the better. We are a business consultant group where we share our business stories and experiences together. We will encourage information such as investment, future, school 2 work, counseling, and a place to gather. The group highly encourages multiculturalism as we have countries ranging from Asia to Europe. Also, this group is a way to get together to do trips and events outside of Langara.

Langara Finance Club:

Langara Finance Club is thrilled to bring together likeminded individuals who want to develop their knowledge of investments and financial planning. The club mission is to build confidence in students by sharing investment ideas through events, guest speakers, and presentations in order to strengthen knowledge in finance. Our purpose is to expand our knowledge through discussing present day economic issues as well as steps we could take to plan for the future. Students from any faculty are welcome to join us in the journey to learn how finance can be applicable to both work and personal lives. We wish to inspire students to desire to learn about making wiser economic decisions in order to thrive in our ever-changing economy.

French Club:

Bonjour! We are a student-run club with assistance from the Department of Modern Languages at Langara. Our main focus is to learn French and to improve upon our written and oral skills in the language by practicing with each other during our meetings. Occasionally, we attend Francophone related events happening in Vancouver, such as film screenings, art exhibits and the occasional wine tasting! Langara Philosophy Club offers a friendly platform for students to meet new friends, exchange ideas, and explore various issues that influence our community. "Students Helping Students." We are students who wish to help other nursing students by ensuring a positive learning experience during our time at the Langara College School of Nursing. Our Vision: To create a safe, supportive place for nursing students to help each other and to facilitate positive student-faculty relationships.

The Langara Chemistry Club (ThInK_) was established to engage Langara students who want to learn and are passionate about chemistry. We endeavor to facilitate an interdependent learning environment through weekly group studies and discussions. While it is our goal to learn from each other, Chemistry professors occasionally participate at events. Come in and learn about chemistry while socializing with students who share the same interest.

LASA is open to all students who would like to be engaged in Indigenous topics and issues. Come and join us as we learn about and celebrate Indigenous culture. We will fundraise and host various indigenous events throughout the year.

Our club is the place for all the Langara cultural clubs to interconnect one another! We share cultures and languages through playing games, music, outings, and conversation. We are an inclusive group where everyone is valued: No matter whether you want to learn other languages & cultures, or whether you speak many already, you are welcome:)

Langara International Network of Koreans (LINK):

LINK introduces people who are interested in Korean culture and language. Furthermore, we provide new Korean students with information about Langara College to assist them with any problems they may have. In order to introduce students to Korean culture we will have some exciting activities to connect non-Korean students with Korean students.

Langara Japanese Language NIHONGO Club:

Kon'nichiwa (Hello)! Our Langara Japanese Language Club provides all students who speak (and desire to learn) Japanese with wonderful opportunities to improve their language skills. Learners can find a place to practice and learn Japanese, while native speakers can get valuable teaching experience. From those who don't know a single word to those whom speak Japanese as a first language - all the Japanese speakers are more than welcome to participate in our club!

Langara Mandarin Club

Ni hao! We are Langara students interested in improving our Chinese language skills and gaining a better understanding of Chinese culture. All levels of Chinese language speakers welcome, from not a single word to completely fluent. Our activities will include having discussions, watching Chinese movies, playing Chinese games, singing Chinese karaoke and anything else participants are interested in. This club's purpose is to facilitate interfaith dialogue and awareness through community service and campus involvement, as well as to share and promote Sikh faith and heritage in order to achieve understanding and friendship.

Love Your Neighbour Club (LYNC) is registered non-governmental organization, dedicated to serve both the local and global community. Civil rights awareness to help assist the alternative medication education within Langara College. Discuss and reduce the prejudice, discrimination, and stereotyping in society.

Board Games Club:

The main purpose of creating this club is to relax students from daily busy schoolwork. The Club would play boards games such as Werewolves and Legends of the Three Kingdom. In addition, we also offer a social platform for students to gain more friends and to discover Vancouver.

The Anime club is full of people who share similar interest in anime and Japanese pop culture. We gather regularly and have fun activities ranging from serious cosplay design to casual board games. Some possible activities include: Community events, anime discussion, cosplay design, cooking workshop, group games and much more.

Langara English Corner:

The purpose of this club is to provide cultural exchange opportunities, and the chance to make friends while practicing conversational English. Through volunteering, students can learn how to be more involved in the community. It’s a great way to learn about diverse languages – students also do activities during which they can learn about different cultural backgrounds.

Reading "The Economist" Club:

Reading ‘the Economist’ Club is provided for students who are interested in Economics, including ESL students or the students who are worried about their writing or speaking skills. The leader of the club will provide readings from the ‘Economist’ and students will develop writing and speaking skills through meetings and sharing ideas.

Langara Dragon Boat Team – Langara Ligers:

The Langara Ligers Dragon Boat Team competes at local races in Vancouver and Richmond. We love to win, but being social and meeting new people is a big part of why we paddle! With a silver medal at the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival in 2016, we’re looking to recruit committed individuals to bring home the gold in 2017.

Our club offers the chance to try Kendo – a Japanese Martial Art of bamboo sword fighting. Regular practices every week also promote health and a balanced mind.

Langara Martial Arts Club:

Our club's activites are centered around training in martial arts. Techniques from a variety of martial arts will be taught at our meetings in order to help everyone feel more confident about their ability to implement self-defense as well as improve their overall health and well-being. Meetings will generally include activities like stretching, punching and kicking drills, and controlled sparring under the supervision of the lead instructor. No previous experience needed.
