Langara believes that everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect on campus. We are committed to ensuring that all members of the college community are able to learn, teach and work in an environment free from harassment, discrimination, and violence.
The College's Sexual Violence and Misconduct Policy (B3009) (PDF) was developed after extensive consultation and feedback from our community, including students and key stakeholders. In order to keep our campus safe, all campus community members are responsible for complying with the policy. Langara's sexual violence and misconduct policy prohibits all forms of sexual violence or misconduct that occur:
- on or off Langara property, including online activities or at a Langara event; and
- where the parties are acting in a capacity defined by their relationship to Langara College; or
- where the alleged conduct adversely affects the College or the rights of a member of the College community to use and enjoy the College’s learning and working environment.
We all have a part to play in responding to and preventing violence on our campus. You can learn your role and responsibility through understanding the procedures (PDF) at Langara.
