Are you an Indigenous student at Langara looking to take your job search or personal portfolio to the next level?
If you answered yes, the Job Search Success Course might be for you! During this free seven week course, you will have the opportunity to:
- explore your interests, talents, and strengths while creating your personal career plan
- share your experiences, concerns, and questions with industry professionals and fellow Langara Alumni
- share your education and career story
- build your network
- leave with a Job Packet (resume, cover letter, and interview tips) ready for industry applications
Important information
This course will start on October 8 and meet every Friday from 10:30 am–12:30 pm until November 26 (no class on November 12). Guest speakers, including alumni and industry professionals will be present to provide advice, answer questions, and connect with participants. At the end of the course, students will leave with a finalized job packet that includes a resume, cover letter, and interview tips.
For participating in the program, students can earn an award of up to $500.
Time commitment
While the majority of work will be completed in class (hearing from speakers, open discussions, drafting of your resume and cover letter), please block out an additional hour each week for out of class preparation.
