Relationships are some of the most challenging things to navigate.

As college students, some of the relationships choices we make now can define the rest of our lives. Strong close relationships can improve our academic skills, mood, confidence, and our overall wellbeing while at the same time reducing loneliness, sadness, anxiety, and a feeling of hopelessness. Unfortunately, most students continue to struggle with their relationships which is often why they come to counselling for support.

The purpose of this in-person group is to help you grow to be a more confident, authentic, supportive partner, friend, and/or family member.

Over 6 sessions, a Langara Counsellor will facilitate and support 6-8 students in developing skills/strategies to improve communication skills/boundary setting, manage conflict, make authentic confident choices, finding meaning and growth, and understanding of how we behave in relationships.

This group will meet in-person from 1:30 pm–3:30 pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday, September 22
  • Thursday, October 6
  • Thursday, October 20
  • Thursday, November 3
  • Thursday, November 17
  • Thursday, December 1

All students enrolled in the Fall term are welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Michael Cheng at
