Want to receive a text message when your books are due?

To help you avoid late fees, the Library can send reminder (courtesy) notices to your cell phone for items due in 3 days.

Just complete this form and the service will begin in 2 working days.

Important:

  • Non-receipt of courtesy notices does not relieve you of responsibility for late fees that incur.
  • Your cell number will be used for library purposes only.
  • This is a trial service and if successful, we hope to extend text messages for other notices such as items ready for pickup. While signed up to the service, you will continue to receive all notices via your myLangara email.

Has your cell phone number changed?
Remember to update Langara Library. Just re-submit this form.

Want to opt out?
Re-submit this form and select the opt-out option.

Does this cost anything?
While there is no charge from Langara Library, standard incoming text messages may apply depending on your cell phone service plan.

What kind of message will I receive?
Because text messages have a character limit, you will receive a general message that items are due but not the titles of the item(s).

To view the titles of items on loan, login to your myLibrary account where you can also renew most materials on loan.
