Registrar and Enrolment Services (RES) provides quality, professional, and courteous support services. The department strives to enable learning by responding to the changing needs of students and colleagues and providing information that is accessible, timely, and accurate.

RES provides services in several areas including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, information services, registration, records, scheduling, graduation, and convocation. RES includes both Regular Studies and Continuing Studies.

RES also updates the College Calendar.


Recruitment and Admissions

Recruitment in RES is explanding to include high school visits, career and education fairs, and tours on campus. Successful recruitment relies on the participation of all Langara members. Registration, Records, and Scheduling

RES is also involved in processing many types of student appeals, such as requests for late withdrawals, medical withdrawals, or requests for course refunds. Visit the Responsibilities and Policies section to view a list of important policies related to these and other concerns.


Information Services

RES provides frontline services at the Registrar and Enrolment Services office in ‘T’ building. At the RES office, students can ask questions about admissions, registration, financial aid, graduation or any of the many other services provided by RES.

The campus also has an Information Kiosk in 'A' Building which handles many general inquiries from students, staff and the general public.


Financial Aid

As in every other aspect of life, finances play a critical role in enabling student success. In effort to alleviate financial stress, the Financial Aid Department offers a number of supports, based on eligibility:

  • Langara bursaries
  • Langara scholarships
  • External awards
  • Workshops
  • Student Work Assistance Program (SWAP)
  • One-on-one student financial advising

Convocation and Graduation

Students must apply to graduate in accordance with the Graduation Application Process.

RES is also involved in planning the annual Convocation ceremonies, which take place every June. Many departments across the College are involved in making these ceremonies a success. Visit the Convocation site for more information.


Continuing Studies

Langara College Continuing Studies offers a rich and diverse range of lifelong learning opportunities. Whether the objective is to improve business skills, enhance a career path, expand individual creativity, or develop a more holistic approach to personal well-being, Continuing Studies offers 800 courses and over 40 certificate programs designed with the needs of the student in mind.
