As a public sector institution, Langara College is comprised of a diverse workforce. Three collective agreements, available on the Terms & Collective Agreements, Policies page, guide our activities with the majority of our staff:

  • LFA - Langara Faculty Association (for faculty)
  • CUPE Local 15 - Canadian Union of Public Employees (for support staff)
  • BCNU - BC Nurses' Union (for nurses)

Langara also employs Administrative staff who are covered by the Terms and Conditions of Employment. The collective agreements and terms of employment act as a framework, outlining the rights, responsibilities, practices, and processes that govern the employee/employer relationship. Leaders should be familiar with the documents applicable to employees in their areas.
