Important Note: There have been recent changes to international student immigration regulations that took effect on June 1, 2014.  Please refer to the CIC website for more details.

International students studying full-time (at least 9 credits per term) with valid Study Permits are eligible to work on campus. However, there are very few job opportunities at Langara. You should not register at Langara with the expectation that there will be jobs available to supplement your income. Immigration Canada will expect you to have enough savings to be self-supporting as a full-time student.

You will need to obtain social insurance number (SIN) to work in Canada.  For more information about how to get a SIN, click here.
