Donate to the Emergency Relief Fund to support our students during this time of need.

In response to the growing needs and challenges for our students resulting from COVID-19, the Langara College Foundation has created the Emergency Relief Fund to help support them during this global crisis.

Monies raised from this appeal will be matched by the College and will go directly to assisting our students who are most affected. This includes financial support such as bursaries and support for the Community Cupboard, which is a partnership between the Langara College Foundation, Financial Aid, Langara Student Union, and the Office of Student Engagement. The cupboard addresses the issue of food insecurity as an on-campus food bank program and it is solely funded through donations. Each bag provides a week of food or a total of 21 meals.

“Students continue to face uncertainty and increased financial difficulties during this time,” says Moira Gookstetter, Langara College Foundation. “While the support addresses financial difficulties and food insecurities, this is an unprecedented situation, one that creates financial challenges for many of our students who will continue to look to the College for support. Our goal is to be able to help as many students as we can, and we cannot do this without the generosity and kindness of our donors.”

While we understand that our students are not alone in facing financial hardship, we are all in this together. You make the difference for our students each and every day in the classroom and beyond.

Please consider making a donation to continue helping students during this uncertain time.

Donations over $20 will be issued a charitable tax receipt. Charitable Business Number: 829255132 RR0001
