Dr. Andrew S. Perrotta completed his B.Sc. (hon) in Kinesiology from the University of Guelph before moving to Calgary to complete his M.Kin. focusing on Applied Exercise Physiology. Dr. Perrotta continued his journey west and completed his Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Throughout his academic journey, he became certified with CSEP (CEP), NSCA (CSCS) and the USSF “C” Coaching License. During his doctorate he was the head physiologist and performance scientist for the Canadian Women’s National Field Hockey team and consulted as a performance physiologist for Badminton Canada. Dr. Perrotta’s research focus pertains to cardiovascular performance, exercise physiology, and environmental physiology.
Prior to joining Langara College, Dr. Perrotta held multiple Sessional Instructor positions at Mount Royal University and the University of British Columbia.
