  • DESK 1001 - Photoshop 1: Fundamentals (18 hours)
  • INET 1067 - Dreamweaver 1: Website Construction (18 hours)
  • INET 1084 - Web Project Management (18 hours)
  • INET 2010 - Web intergration Project (36 hours)

Level 1 Elective Courses - Choose two of the following (minimum 36 hours, 3.6 CEUs):

  • INET 1102 - CSS3 and Responsive Web Design (18 hours)
  • INET 1019 - Dreamweaver 2: For Designers (18 hours)
  • INET 1072 - Interface Design and Web Techniques with Photoshop (18 Hours)

Level 2 Elective Courses - Choose two of the following (minimum 36 hours, 3.6 CEUs):

Courses of Interest

Courses of Interest are courses you may take out of interest rather than for certification purposes. These courses generally feature the industry's most up-to-date topics and may become part of a certificate in the future. In the event a course of interest becomes part of a Certificate either as a required course or as an elective, you will be given credit for that particular course and will not have to take it over.

  • INET 1111 - Improving HTML/CSS Development Workflows (18 hours)
  • INET 1112 - Mobile App Development with jQuery (18 hours)
  • INET 1092 - WordPress: Creating the Perfect Theme (18 hours)

Admission/Certificate Requirements

You need not apply ahead of time to take this certificate. Just register in the individual courses and complete an Application for Graduation form when you've completed all the requirements. Submit it to Continuing Studies to receive your certificate. All requirements must be completed within four years of starting the program. Courses may also be taken individually so long as the specific prerequisites for each are met.

There are no academic requirements for entry into this program, but students should have basic computer skills and file management skills (equivalent to the Computing Fundamentals or Windows File Management courses). In addition, having good keyboarding/typing skills is an asset.

These hands-on courses will provide you with a solid foundation and will focus on installing, developing, testing, and distributing your app. Challenges including: limited screen sizes, and memory issues on these devices will be also be discussed.
