Media & Public Relations Assistant

Working at the BC & Yukon Provincial Office in Port Coquitlam, the Media & Public Relations Assistant will work closely with the Provincial Director to develop the profile of the Foundation in the   media and promote events.

Assist the Provincial Director in developing a communications plan for BC & Yukon

  • Liaise with the media and public as required, regarding the event
  • Write and distribute media releases, articles and newsletters
  • Develop media / press information kit
  • Coordinate with companies in regards to distribution of posters & pledge sheets
  • Plan events, such as an organizers workshop, press conferences & media tour
  • Maintain the updating and organizing of files and media / PR databases
  • Organize and file all media clippings

Technical Helpdesk Analyst

The successful candidate may be involved in the installation, upgrading or support of any of the following:



  • New Netware (IPX) Networked Compaq workstations and remote laptops
  • Various Intel based application servers and file servers

  • Upgrade as required to the above


  • The major DOS and Windows packages supported on our networks are Office 2003, Outlook and remote control software such as ReachOut and PCAnywhere as well as in-house developed applications

  • We have a growing WAN consisting of a large number of Novell Netware 3.12 and Windows XP file servers. These are linked by Ethernet routers and switches via HighSpeed T1’s

Java Developer

As an Intermediate Java Developer working within the Professional Services team, you will be involved in developing and delivering powerful, scalable and reusable J2EE software solutions, built on our platform, to a global client base. During these projects, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, documentation, testing and deployment. Periodically, you will also assist the Product Development team in adding new features to our quarterly product release of our organization.
