What program were you in?

I completed my Business Management Diploma and a BBA in Marketing Management.

Where did you have your co-op work placement?

I was a Candidate Contact Representative at Mindfield. After my co-op was over, I was asked to stay on with the company post graduation.

What is the biggest takeaway from your co-op experience?

The most valuable thing I learned was how to be accountable. Since the co-op, I’ve gained a new sense of responsibility and an eagerness to be challenged. My job is different each and every day and I continue to set challenging goals for myself.

What work are you doing now?

I’m a Recruitment Account Manager at Sales Talent Agency.

How did your co-op jobs prepare you for the work that you’re doing now?

My co-op job was in recruitment so it helped groom me for what I’m doing now. It also prepared me for the nine-to-five work schedule and taught me a lot about the corporate world. Co-op was one of the best parts of my post secondary education. It pushed me to become a better individual and a real a business professional!

Looking forward, where would you like your career to go?

This experience helped shape my current career goals. I am happy with the challenges and amount of learning I still have in my current role but I’m excited to see where else my skills can take me.

What would you say to someone who asks you about co-op?

Not everyone's co-op experience will be the same, but the experiences and knowledge you’ll gain will be the best experience you can get!
