The Langara women's basketball team was victorious in their home opener on Wednesday night by a score of 68-42 over the visiting Kwantlen Eagles. Langara's Carling Muir led the way with an impressive 31 point and 12 rebounds. Other key contributors were Nadja Jankovic (7 points, 8 rebounds), and Jade Arignon (6 rebounds, 9 assists). With the win, the Falcons move to 1 win and 0 losses in BCCAA league play. On the men's side, the Falcons defeated the Kwantlen Eagles by a score of 73-70 in their first league game of the year. The Falcons were led by first years guards Semir Ibrahim (12 points, 7 rebounds), Elliot Mason (11 points, 7 rebounds), andDaniel Hobden (10 points). With the win, the men also move to 1 win and 0 losses in BCCAA league play. Next up for both teams is a pair of games against the UNBC Timberworlves on November 12th and 13th at Langara College.
