Spring English Language Program (SELP), International Education
The Spring English Language Program requires full-time English as a Second Language instructors for two to four week programs running between February and March 2018.
Instructors will be responsible for delivering the course as described in the SELP curriculum. This will include planning lessons and assignments that fulfill course objectives, preparing additional materials as required, and accompanying the students on off-campus site visits. The instructor will also be required to attend a preparation meeting in advance of the program start date.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a BC TEAL/TESL-Canada recognized TESL certificate equivalent to a specialization in TESL from a degree program.
- Minimum five years teaching experience in ESL / EFL at the adult level.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Hours & Days of Work: Instructors generally work Monday to Friday, from 9-12 noon and 1–3 p.m.
Salary: $38/hour ($36.54 salary plus 4% vacation pay).
