Description of Position:             

Instructing of students in Camera, Editing and Sound Editing Techniques for narrative film production. The instructor is responsible for: teaching advanced classes covering the myriad aspects of Cinematography, Camera Operation, Lighting, Field Sound Recording, use and maintenance of Associated Equipment.

Required Qualifications:       

  • Minimum of 10 years professional and/or instructional experience
  • A high level of operational familiarity with the URSA Mini 4K Cinema Camera and peripherals, Final Cut Pro X, Sound Editing and Design, Colour Correction, C-Stands, Lighting Stands, Dollies, Light Modifiers, Field and ADR Sound Recording Microphones and Techniques, creation of deliverables including DCP’s. Film Set Protocols.
  • Proficiency and trouble shooting ability with Apple Computers and OSX operating system.
  • Familiarity with the Langara Film Arts Program

Length of appointment: January 1, 2019 to April 30, 2019

Start Date: January 1, 2019

Salary Range: Salary placement is on Langara instructors’ salary scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
