Description of Position:       

Three sections of Art History courses to be taught in the Summer term. Courses Visual Culture I and Visual Culture II.

Required Qualifications:     

Masters degree in Art History, with a PhD and some post-secondary teaching experience considered to be assets. Applicants will have the ability to teach Visual Culture I and Visual Culture II, and possibly Contemporary Art and History of Photography, as well as an interest in preparing new courses as required.

We require an instructor with a broad and diverse range of art historical experience, ideally with an Contemporary, Photography, Asian, Indigenous, Global or another non-Western specialty. Even though this is a term appointment there is a possibility of future employment. The position requires participation in departmental activities and may also require some departmental duties.

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide additional materials such as evidence of teaching effectiveness and a statement of teaching philosophy.
