Langara has Tri-Council eligibility, allowing the College to apply to the Natural Science & Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) for funding in support of applied research. 

College community members who are interested in applying for funding for their applied research are encouraged to explore the College and Community Innovation Program offered through NSERC. 

Langara Research & Scholarly Activity Fund (RSAF)

In 2015, Langara's Scholarly Activity Steering Committee established an exciting new funding opportunity to support faculty-led research or scholarly activity projects.

The Committee is pleased to announce the Spring 2017 round of successful RSAF projects:

Receiving Funding ($3,000)

  • Mara Gottler  – Project Title:  From “Page to Stage”: Identifying Romantic Stereotypes in Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona(Theatre Arts)

Receiving funding ($2,500)

  • Richard Wong  – Project Title: Improving Intercultural Relationships and Learning at Post-Secondary Institutions(Physics & Astronomy)

Receiving Funding (up to $3,000)
