Langara College has first aid services available on campus during normal operating hours
(Monday to Friday: 7:00 am - 10:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm).

You can access this service by calling 4444 from any internal campus phone or by alerting a Langara College security personal.

Registered nurses are available 24/7 to help you with non-emergency health concerns, to discuss symptoms and procedures or recommend a visit to a doctor or hospital. Pharmacists and dieticians are also available on a limited basis.

Mental Health Crisis:

The Vancouver Access and Assessment Centre provides 24/7, 365 days/year mental health and substance use services on site (Joseph and Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre, Level 1 East entrance, 803 West 12th Ave, Vancouver, BC) or by phone (604-675-3700).

Sexual Assault Services:

If you are 13 or older, and have been sexually assaulted within the past 7 days, go to Vancouver General Hosptial's Emergency Department (24 hours) at 920 West 10th Ave (near Broadway and Oak) 

Or, UBC Hospital Emergency Department located at 2211 Westbrook Mall. Hours often vary, please check their website for up to date information. 

 

Services are free and confidential. No carecard (MSP) is required.  

Patients attending the UBC Emergency Department can call the AMS Sexual Assault Support Centre (604-827-5180) to request a support worker to accompany them.

Female patients may arrange for a Women Against Violence Against Womens worker to accompany them at UBC.  Please call 604-255-6344

If you are 12 and under and have been sexually assaulted, please call 911 or go to BC Children's Hospital Emergency Department (4480 Oak Street).

If you were assaulted more than 7 days ago: See any doctor or nurse practiioner.
