The Cognitive Systems (COGS) program provides B.A. and B.Sc. degrees in Cognitive Systems via interdisciplinary Studies of perception and cognition, from the perspective of one of the following five streams:

  1. Cognitions & the Brain (B.A. supervised by Psychology)
  2. Cognitions & the Brain (B.Sc. supervised by Psychology)
  3. Language (B.A. supervised by Linguistics)
  4. Mind, Language and Computation (B.A. supervised by Philosophy)
  5. Computational Intelligence & Design (B.Sc. supervised by Computer Science)
  • All COGS-designated core courses (COGS 200, 300, 303, 401, and 402) are team taught, and there is a strong emphasis on collaborative engagement of students in curricular and research projects. The Specialization aims for its graduates to possess the background competence necessary to enter graduate research programs in one of the supervisory disciplines or in cognitive science itself.
