Each year, Langara College develops a budget for the operations and capital expenditures of the institution. 


Budget Planning Process

  • Budget development and decision making is guided by our Budgeting Principles.

  • Section Plan: The academic team, consisting of the Provost & Vice President, Academics & Students, Deans, Division and Department Chairs work on the section allocation plan. In developing the plan, the same number of instructional sections are maintained. However, we must also respond to the changing educational needs of our student body and the labour market. Therefore, some shifts may be necessary to address student demand, support international enrolments, and the government’s reengineering requirements.
