Outcomes & Objectives

"As one of the Project Managment Program students, I am delighted to have the opportunity to participate in your classes. I find the program to be very well designed, organized, and soundly managed. Students discuss concepts in each segment and build up their knowledge as the program progresses logically. I would like to express my gratitude to you and your colleagues for making this program available, and for assisting me in learning, progressing, and growing."

With a specific focus on developing practical project management skills, the Short Certificate in Advanced Project Management Program prepares students to apply proven methodologies to projects within their individual fields.

The program provides training in both advanced and applied project management, providing a balance of practice and theory, and developing the skills that professionals need to become effective project managers. Students will gain a solid understanding of current project management methodologies and techniques that are being applied worldwide. They also will learn relevant management skills to ensure success in working with teams and entire organizations. In addition to the core training in project management, students are instructed in the appropriate business models, theories and issues that are relevant to complex projects.

The Short Certificate in Advanced Project Management is a good fit for professionals who may not have previously received formal training, and who would like to obtain a certification that recognizes their expertise and experience. Professionals and managers who are exploring options for a career change into project management also will find the certificate to be an ideal academic and practical starting point.

The Short Certificate in Advanced Project Management is designed to enable both beginning and experienced project managers to improve their practical skills and prepare for the CAPM® certification exam.

How Does this Program Prepare Me for my PMP®?

The PMP® credential requires education in the form of a high school diploma or degree, 35 hours of project management training, at least 36 months of project management
experience, and an exam. Completing this course helps you meet these requirements. For example, the program provides more than three times the required amount of project
management training, and the course content is regularly updated to match the currentversion of the PMBOK® Guide. We also provide guidance on studying for the exam.
