Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) is an assessment tool designed to assess the English language proficiency of internationally educated nurses (IENs) who are applying for licensure in the nursing profession in Canada. CELBAN is recognized by nursing licensing bodies across Canada. Developed by the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CCLB), CELBAN is managed by a national administration centre and administered by test sites across Canada.http://www.celbancentre.ca/
Langara's CELBAN preparation course covers the language essentials needed for success on the test. English materials are presented in a medical context to help improve communication skills and fluency for real working environments. In this course, you will explore how to better communicate in English about medical problems, demonstrate empathy with patients, and participate in authentic scenarios to prepare you for this important test.
