Langara

There are many different ways to get involved!

As a Langara student, you have access to a wide variety of opportunities to get involved, develop new connections, learn new skills, build your resume and help make the Langara community a great place to be a part of.

Getting involved can mean many things. You can participate in a variety of student leadership and volunteer positions as well as gain work experience through a part-time on-campus job such as the Student Work Assistance Program (SWAP) or Work on Campus (WOC) or through a Co-op position (on or off-campus).

We encourage you to choose the experience or program (s) that align with your interests, goals and time available.

Leadership and Volunteer Experience

Join the student volunteer community at Langara!

There are a variety of different on-campus volunteer programs available to you, where you can make new connections, learn new skills and gain experience while giving back to the community.  As a current Langara student, you can also apply to become a member of VOLT. As a member of VOLT, you can log your volunteer hours and work towards earning VOLT Recognition (includes a recognition certificate and a volunteer credit on your Continuing Studies transcript).

Langara is also home to a large number of student clubs that enhance student life on campus.

Other opportunities:

Volunteer Notetaking

  • If an instructor makes an announcement or emails the class requesting a volunteer notetaker, let the instructor know that you are interested.

LEAP volunteers
